23rd Japan Prize Presentation Ceremony PSS attended the ceremony

The 2007 Japan Prize Presentation Ceremony was held on April 19 at the National Theatre of Japan in Tokyo with presence of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress as well as many other distinguished guests. Japan Prize, which has been established by The Science and Technology Foundation of Japan, was awarded to people from all parts of the world whose original and outstanding achievements in science and technology are recognized as having advanced the frontiers of knowledge and served the cause of peace and prosperity for mankind.
This year, Japan Prize was awarded to those who have contributed tremendously to the advancement of "Innovative Devices Inspired by Basic Research": Prof. Albert Fert (France) and Prof. Dr. Peter Grunberg (Germany), and "Science and Technology of Harmonious Co-Existence": Dr. Peter Shaw Ashton (United Kingdom).
10 Panasonic Scholarship Students attended the Japan Prize Presentation Ceremony. They were deeply impressed by the prestigious ceremony.
