2007 Panasonic Scholarship Award Ceremony was held on April 5, 2007 at MEI Head Quarter. The new scholars were handed over the certificates by MEI President Mr. Fumio Ohtsubo. In addition to the new scholars for this year, the number of Panasonic Scholarship Students has become 244 in total. Award Ceremony was attended by MEI President Mr. Ohtsubo and MEI Top Management. The ceremony started with the congratulatory address of President Mr. Ohtsubo, followed by self-introduction of the new scholars.
After that, President Mr. Ohtsubo handed over Panasonic Scholarship Certificate to each of the new scholars.
n the congratulatory address of President Mr. Ohtsubo, he celebrated their success to be awarded as Panasonic Scholarship Students and gave the new scholars the following advice for the study at Japan's graduate schools. Congratulatory Address of President Mr. Ohtsubo "Congratulations on being selected as Panasonic Scholarship Students through strict selection steps at your home countries. Matsushita Electric used to be a venture business company organized by only three people, when the founder Konosuke Matsushita was at the age of 22, just the same age of most of you. After many years, Matsushtia Electric has now more than 330,000 employees in the whole world and has developed to a global company which has net sales in 9,000 billions of yen, thanks to the people of the other countries. In order to express our gratitude in a more concrete way, Scholarship Program was established for the purpose to contribute to the growth of human civilization in Asia." President Mr. Ohtsubo emphasized to the new scholars that they will contribute to the society in the future. As well he talked to the scholars, who will stay in Japan with the differences in values, languages and cultures, "Please don't be melt into the environments and people of Japan, but respect your own characteristics and mingle with the people of Japan. With this advice, please keep the good communication with the people of your graduate school and your local community. At the same time, I wish you will have the sense to better understand the different cultures and polish your characteristics. After three years, I will see you here again, but I expect to meet you who will have matured as a result of the experiences in Japan." Welcome Lunch Party with President Mr. Ohtsubo
President Mr. Ohtsubo joined "Welcome Lunch Party" and had a friendly communication with each of the new scholars. The scholars were touched with the warm words by President Mr. Ohtsubo. Study Matsushita's history at "House of History" 
The new scholars visited Matsushita Electric House of History and learned the backgrounds of the Founder, Konosuke Matsushita and the company history of MEI. The new scholars have deepened the knowledge of MEI through learning from the display. Panasonic Scholarship Orientation
